Georgia Southern kicked off Sun Belt Conference play with a win in front of a record crowd at Paulson Stadium. Over 26,000 fans saw the Eagles get the best of Grayson McCall and Coastal Carolina in a 38-28 win. Now, Georgia Southern is gearing up for possibly its toughest conference opponent of the season as they face Jame Madison. Both teams are coming off a bye week in what should be the game of the week of the SBC.

Georgia Southern bounces back in a big way with a 40-3 drubbing of Ball State in Muncie, Indiana to finish out-of-conference play at 3-1. Now, the road to a Sun Belt championship begins back in Paulson against the beach chickens of Coastal Carolina.
