After a much needed bye week, GATA Talk is back to get you ready for a huge matchup with South Alabama as the Jaguars head to Paulson Stadium. Georgia Southern improved to 5-3 on the year with a big road win against ODU in Virginia two weeks ago and now looks to become bowl eligible with a win against South Alabama in Statesboro.

Georgia Southern sends another freshly ranked team home without a number next to its name. The Eagles put up nearly 600 yards of offense including 578 yards through the air for quarterback Kyle Vantrease. Now back over .500, the Eagles head up to Virginia to take on a confident Old Dominion team coming off a dominate performance against Coastal Carolina.
